MFA, Academic Advisor
Craig earned his Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from the University of Evansville and a Master of Fine Arts from the University of California, Irvine. Before coming to Cascade Crest Transitions he worked across the nation as an actor, teaching artist and arts educator. He has been fortunate to work with students and people of diverse ages, backgrounds, identities and skill levels. Through his teachings, Craig enjoys utilizing aspects and values of the arts in ways that engage, empower and captivate students; working in ways that are highly collaborative, detailed and organized but with a creative and “out of the box” edge.
He is a champion for student success and always strives for the growth of confidence, ownership and commitment of his students. By guiding and encouraging young adults to allow themselves to enter into a spirit of committed and enthusiastic exploration, they in turn contribute to the learning by creating a safe and positive environment where they not only trust and support themselves but those around them.
Born and raised in Louisville, Kentucky Craig has a lot of Kentucky pride. He enjoys reading fantasy fiction, gardening, watching “Jeopardy” and still performs and teaches with local theatre companies in the area. Craig and his husband along with their pup, Oliver, are blessed to call Bend home.
