Alex hales from southwestern Connecticut, growing up playing and instructing any sport that he could. He worked with kids at a day camp for 8 summers, trying to spread joy to all. He went on to study Engineering at George Mason University, followed by Sports Management at Sacred Heart University while working full time at a sporting goods store in his hometown.
After a few years, he realized that the traditional path wasn’t for him, and he flew across the world to spend 2 years abroad in New Zealand, Australia, and various places in Southeast Asia. It was abroad that Alex realized his love for the true outdoors, and wanted to turn that into a career. He moved to Bend where he spent the next 3 years working for New Vision Wilderness Therapy, and discovered a passion for work in mental health.
Alex prioritizes peace, love, and positivity in his work, and isn’t afraid to challenge those looking for health, healing, and change. He is currently working towards finishing his Bachelor’s degree so he can continue to grow his skill set in supporting others. In his spare time you can find Alex hiking, skiing, rock climbing, watching sports, at a groovy concert, or bantering with his friends.
