If you know anything about Bend, you know that it’s a place full of folks who live and love the outdoors. Bend hosts an event every year called the Pole, Pedal, Paddle (PPP). This event brings out locals and people from all across the country to compete in teams and as solo athletes. This year Cascade Crest Transitions (CCT) Students and Staff pulled together a team and participated in the annual event. CCT staff and students configured two separate teams that plunged headfirst into the PPP festivities and indulged in the lifestyle of true Bendites. The PPP is a relay race of six legs that include downhill snowboarding/skiing, cross-country skiing, biking, running, kayaking/canoeing/stand up paddle boarding. A race that has picked up steam, style, and flair these last few years is now an anticipated event here in our lovely mountain town. Congratulations to both teams for crossing the finish line. – Nice work!!!
