Cascade Crest Transitions welcomes the new year and with the first week down we are ready to have an amazing 2016. We had a very busy Christmas break with a number of student staying with us who enjoyed many of the local festivities and attractions. Several students had their families come to Bend for a visit while other students were busy with the CCT staff sledding, soaking at the warm pools in Kah Nee Tah, getting up to Mt. Bachelor to enjoy over 100 inches of new snow, skating, eating out and baking cookies. On New Years Eve, the students rang in the year at a sober dance and community social. Our students are settling back into their normal schedules and embracing a true Bend winter.

We are starting 2016 with a full program of students who are dedicated to continuing their journey into healthy, independent adulthood. Our Belay phase students will be heading south to Crater Lake for their monthly recreational trip mid month. During their stay they will have the chance to explore Oregon’s beautiful National Park, go on a snow shoe adventure and learn the history of area. On the next blog we will share pictures and additional stories from their weekend.

We look forward to connecting with you this year and keeping you posted to what’s happening here at CCT on our new blog. Stay tuned…it’s going to be a great year!
