Meet CrocketT - A Woodle who has joined Cascade Crest Transitions team!
This ball of furry cuteness has warmed our hearts and brought new life to the office and excitement to our young adults.
Crockett, born Oct 10, 2015, is a Wheaton Terrier /Poodle better known as a “Woodle”. Sandy MacDonald, one of our primary therapist at Cascade Crest Transitions, is the proud owner of little Crockett. Preparing to be an official therapy dog, Crockett has already successfully completed a puppy socialization class and is now enrolled in obedience classes. In the next several months, Crockett will become Certified in Animal Assisted Therapy (AAT)
Animal-assisted therapy (AAT) is a type of therapy that involves animals as a form of treatment. The goal of AAT is to improve a client’s social, emotional, and/or cognitive functioning. Experts state that animals can be useful for educational and motivational effectiveness for participants.
We are looking forward to having Crockett on the CCT team! He is already being paid in favorite treats and extending his trick repertoire. – woof!
